In 2023, a Slovenian logistics company was struggling with high turnover and unreliable results from its usual hiring channels. They introduced Lionel an African migrant living in Slovenia  to their external HR partner, a recruitment agency tasked with bringing in new talent.

Although not formally part of the agency, Lionel became a trusted collaborator. He identified candidates, supported them through complex paperwork, offered pre-departure guidance, and remained present during the entire process. His role became essential  even though it was never officially recognized.

He did not take shortcuts. He helped people navigate embassies, prepare documents, and arrive in Slovenia with understanding and dignity.

The placements worked. But over time, the process began to shift.

Informal referrals began to spread without oversight. Some candidates skipped steps. Narratives changed. Misunderstandings surfaced. And instead of addressing the gaps, the systems around him began to distance themselves. The support he provided was slowly erased, while the risks remained his alone.

The Turning Point

Lionel did not give up.
He paid close attention. He asked uncomfortable questions. He followed the patterns.

And what he uncovered was bigger than one case. It was a common story  a pattern of silence, shortcuts, and blurred responsibility.
There was no structure. No safety. No ownership. That is when he decided to build something new from a deep sense of responsibility to the people who trusted him, and to the principles he refused to compromise.

He knew what was missing.
He had seen it up close.

There was no structure to protect those in transition.
No clarity to guide them.
No accountability when things went wrong.
No bridge between talent and opportunity that felt truly safe.

And so, he created GloBridger.
